INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Before removing your old window, always check to see that the window is the correct size, and that there is no visible damage. and make sure your new window is what you ordered. Double Hung and Single Hung Windows:
Double Hung and Single Hung windows: Slide the sash open and remove the balance covers. Drill 3/8" screw holes when necessary, through the side jambs, For windows 36" or less in height, the holes should be drilled 3" from the bead and sill. Windows that are over 36" a third hole should be drilled at the centre point of the side jambs. Do not forget to replace the balance cover. Insulate between the window and the frame making sure that all gaps and voids are filled completely. Before applying caulking and trim, make sure you check that the sashes slide and rest freely in any position. Now you are ready to finish the interior and exterior trim and caulking. Double Hung and Single Hung Window Operations: Single Hung Windows - Lift the bottom sash approximately 2", from the sill. Release the sash by sliding the tilt release buttons to the center and pull the sash towards you. Make sure that you tilt the sash evenly. If you hove to remove the sub it should be tipped back to a 90 degree so you do not accidentally unlock the shoes and sash balances. Double Hung Window Operations: the
top sash should be pulled dawn approximately 6". Release the sash
by sliding the tilt release buttons to the Centre and pull the sash
towards you. Hold the sash at 90 degrees to the frame when Horizontal Double and Single Sliders: In order for you to tilt the slider sash or sashes, open the sub approximately 2-3". Release the sash by sliding the tilt release buttons to the center and pull the sash or sashes toward you. Always make sure to tilt the ashes evenly to a 90 degree. When tilting the sash or sashes, it is imperative that you keep the sash parallel to the window sill to avoid disengaging the balances. Casement Installations:
